UDERVAL research group led by Javier Esparcia, in collaboration with the UIMP, will be responsible for its organization.
The decision to continue with the event was developed after the success of the first edition, held in Ciudad Real, which brought together more than 150 national and international scientists.
The conferences that took place in September 2022 had a marked interdisciplinary and innovative character, with contributions from diverse fields, among which those carried out from geography, political science and law stand out.
UDERVAL intends providing continuity of variety and complementarity of contributions. It is expected that the conferences, the round tables and, in a particular way, the communications sessions linked to rural issues will be the protagonists.
Today it is known that the second edition of the congress will be part of a course organized by the Valencia headquarters of the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo (UIMP) and will be called "Five years of policies against depopulation." This means that the topic will revolve around the assessment-evaluation of policies and actions to deal with depopulation. The exact dates of celebration, the registration form and the information about the presentation of communications will be published in the upcoming months. It should be noted that the publication of accepted texts is planned not only as proceedings, but also as journal articles and where appropriate, book chapters.
