On September 2016, the HISLEDIA group carried out the recording of medieval texts, available now at the HISPROCAST site.

The project HISPROCAST aims at reconstructing, in an updated form, the changes in the pronunciation of Spanish from medieval to contemporary times through the creation of a methodological and technical framework appropriate to the current context of philological study.

The proposed research steams from a multidimensional vision and its objective is to integrate in a systematic and global manner the partial studies that have taken place in recent years on the evolutionary phonology of Spanish, graphemes used in the different documented stages of the language and news provided by Spanish historiography, without excluding the contribution provided by the contrast between Spanish and other Hispanic linguistic varieties throughout time.
