Educational quality assurance processes in schools and universities are essential to guarantee rigorous academic training that is aligned with social and labour market demands. Currently, internal quality management procedures present significant challenges: high bureaucratic burden, duplication of tasks, and inefficient use of human and technological resources. There is a need to develop a common computer system for all those involved in university quality management, which will improve coordination between institutions and standardise processes.
Researchers at the University of Valencia have developed SysSAIC, a computer system designed to support internal quality assurance in universities, facilitating the management, monitoring and review of procedures related to educational quality. This system optimises collaboration between users, provides advanced monitoring/analysis tools and centralises all key information for quality accreditation, avoiding fragmentation of information and enabling automation.
SysSAIC is a computer system designed to evaluate and manage educational quality processes in universities, and is also of interest in:
-
The public sector for managing the quality of public services.
-
The healthcare sector for managing hospital accreditations.
-
Consultancies and advisory services for the use of the computer system.
-
The technology industry and other educational institutions.
The main advantages of the invention are:
-
Technical advantages: Centralisation and traceability of information, collaborative workflows, automation of deadlines, security and accessibility.
-
Economic advantages: Cost reduction through automation and resource utilisation with task optimisation.
-
Productivity advantages: Improved efficiency in processes and decision-making, optimised staff time and greater transparency.
