The event took place on 5 July at the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València
On 5 July 2024, the fourth conference of the cycle 'Economía y emprendimiento al servicio de las personas' ('Economy and Entrepreneurship at People's Service) was organised by Aula Empresocial and funded by Caixa Popular, in collaboration with the Vice-Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The conference was focused in the role of social economy as a way to be a sustainable entrepreneur, combining academic contribution and inspiring practical experiences.
The session was inaugurated by Lucy Polo, president of Por Ti Mujer and Francisco Alós, director of RSC y Relaciones Institucionales of Caixa Popular. Then, there was a panel discussion by Antonia Sajardo, full professor of Applied Economics, who presented her lecture 'Otra manera de emprender: economía social y sostenibilidad' ('Another way of being an Entrepreneur - Social Economy and Sustainability') and of Pilar Alguacil, professor of Tributary Law, with a lecture on the legal regulations of cooperatives and co-ops.
The event included an experiences panel moderated by Antonia Sajardo, where Helga Figueroa (Koira Adiestramiento Canino SLL) and Isabel Cabo (Mundo Mara Sdad. Coop.) participated and shared their entrepreneurship jpurney in the framework of social economy.
The conference ended at 1:00 p.m., stablishing itself as a session which reinforces the commitment of Aula Empresocial with the impulse of economic initiatives with social impact and from an inclusive perspective.
