On 7 March, the first conference of the cycle 'Economía y emprendimiento al servicio de las personas' ('Economy and Entrepreneurship at People's Service) took place and was organised by Aula Empresocial of the Universitat de València and funded by Caixa Popular.
The conference, took place at the headquarters of AESCO (València), brought professionals of the sector of social economy together and person-based entrepreneurship together with the objective of relecting and sharing experiences on the transformative role of economy at the service of common good.
After the institutional presentation of Francisco Alós (Caixa Popular), the session continued with the lectures of Antonia Sajardo, professor of the Universitat de València and academic director of the cycle, who adressed connexion between social economy, employment and sustainability, and of Alicia Mas, who focused her lecture on social economy entrepreneurship.
The event ended with a pannel discussion moderated by Antonia Sajardo, in which Matilde Carrasco (La Huerta Ubuntu Coop.V.) and Helga Figueroa (Koira Can. SLL.) participated, sharing their entrepreneurship initiatives linked to social economy.
This meeting is part of a cycle of conferences which will continue during the following months with the objective of promoting dialogue and training on people-based economic models.
