More than 30 professors and researchers at the Universitat de València, members of the Deans’ teams, and responsible staff for the pre-incubators of different centres, participated in a new edition of PreincubaLab 2026, the annual event of educational innovation and specialisation on entrepreneurship organised by UVemprén. The meeting, held at the facilities of the entrepreneurship unit at the Universitat, was established as a space for work and reflection to keep promoting entrepreneurship’s inclusion as a cross-disciplinary skill within university degrees.

One of the main focuses of the event was the introduction of a new model of entrepreneurship training schedules, which is being developed by UVemprén. This initiative will allow for each centre to design a training path that is adapted to its characteristics and needs, aligned with the EntreCompUV competency framework, and aimed at making it easier to include evidences that contribute to the processes of quality and recognition of the degrees. After the presentation, professors worked cooperatively in the creation of the first drafts of these schedules, sharing experiences, and defining proposals that will serve as a basis for its future implementation. 

The event featured the Vice-Principal for Students, Academic Transformation, and Permanent Training, Rosa Bo Bonet, who highlighted the great involvement of the professors and governing teams of the centres in an initiative that was described as strategic for the Universitat de València. In her intervention, she pointed out that ‘the excellent welcoming of this initiative and the high level of involvement of the professors and governing teams of the centres prove the Universitat de València’s commitment to a training that is increasingly connected to employability, innovation, and the development of entrepreneurial skills, which are key elements to face the challenges of higher education.’

The event concluded with a technical visit to IDEAS UPV, where the attendees saw the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Universitat Politècnica de València. The journey was guided by the Vice-Principal for Students and Entrepreneurship, J. Alberto Conejero Casares, and by the head of IDEAS UPV, Alejandro Vignoni, who shared the evolution of the entrepreneurship support model of the institution, their main programmes, and the different initiatives that have turned the UPV into one of the national benchmarks in this field.

PreincubaLab2026 is part of the actions promoted by UVemprén to strengthen the Pre-Incubator Network at the Universitat de València and keep progressing in the implementation of entrepreneurship within university training. Through this project, the aim is to make it easier for the students to develop entrepreneurial skills from its own degrees, reinforcing at the same time the centres’ ability to include this dimension in their academic strategy.

This activity is funded by the Conselleria de Industria, Turismo, Innovación y Comercio, through the EMENTI grants that are destined to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the university field.
