AJG. On April 16, students from three European universities in the FORTHEM Alliance participating in the International ToxiCOIL-UV_2ndEd. program held their final project presentation and awards ceremony

This year, the program, led by Professor Ana Juan-García of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Food Sciences, Toxicology, and Forensic Medicine of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences at the University of Valencia, repeated its success in learning and collaboration. This year, mixed groups of students from the University of Valencia (Spain), the University of Burgundy Europe-AgroSup Dijon (France), and the University of Palermo (Italy) were created within the framework of the UVemprén Campus - Santander Open Academy.

Each group presented an innovative idea with potential to solve food safety challenges from a toxicological perspective. The project proposals were: CLEAR, PestAI, NeuroSound, and ProBioTox. After evaluation by the participating teachers, CLEAR - Cyanobacteria-Led Ecological Aquaponic Reuse was the winning project, followed by PestAI and NeuroSound. The first prize was awarded €400, and the next two runners-up, PestAI and NeuroSound, received €150. The feedback from all participants was very positive, and the second edition of the ToxiCOIL-UV (AJG) program concluded with the award ceremony. AJG
