The first session of the ToxiCOIL training program (2nd edition) aimed at university students will take place on March 5th, 2025. Students from the University of Valencia, the University of Burgundy-AgroSup Dijon (France), and the University of Palermo (Italy) will participate within the framework of the UVemprén Campus - Santander Open Academy. In this edition, the partners are part of the FORTHEM Alliance, which gives greater visibility to the program. A total of 40 students are enrolled, and they will receive training to generate and design a challenge and/or an innovative idea to develop food safety solutions from a toxicological perspective.

In this session, the course participants will take part in the ICEBREAKER activity to get to know each other and establish a collaborative working environment. The tutors from the three universities who will provide support throughout the coming months will be: Dr. Ellias Bou-Manon from the University of Burgundy-AgroSup Dijon (France), Dr. Concetta Messina from the University of Palermo (Italy), Dr. Cristina Juan, and Dr. Ana Juan-García from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences at the University of Valencia.

In the following weeks, more sessions will take place, scheduled not only for training but also for work and guidance on innovative entrepreneurial solutions.

This program will award training certificates to all enrolled students and will recognize the teams presenting the best projects with a first prize of €400 and two runner-up prizes of €150.
