Begoña Giner has been appointed member of the Project Task Force (PTF)

Begoña Giner, professor of Financial Economics and Accounting, in the Accounting Department and currently president of the Stakeholder Reporting Committee (SRC) of the European Accounting Association (EAA), has been appointed member of the Project Task Force (PTF) to operate the project on preparatory work for the development of possible EU non-financial reporting standards, entrusted to the European Financial Reporting Sdvisory Group (EFRAG) by the European Commission (EC).

Begoña Giner, professor of Financial Economics and Accounting, in the Accounting Department and currently president of the Stakeholder Reporting Committee (SRC) of the European Accounting Association (EAA), has been appointed member of the Project Task Force (PTF) to operate the project on preparatory work for the development of possible EU non-financial reporting standards, entrusted to the European Financial Reporting Sdvisory Group (EFRAG) by the European Commission (EC).

The designated PTF incorporates a balanced representation of a wide range of stakeholders with a legitimate interest in non-financial information, spanning the public sector, private sector, SMEs and civil society across the EU, according to the request technical advice from the EC. The PTF members have proven experience in the different topics covered by the NFRD and the requirements of the EC technical advice request. There are 35 members of which two represent the academy, one of whom is Professor Giner.

The project will be operated by the PTF within the European Corporate Reporting Lab @EFRAG (European Lab), and is expected to be completed in early 2021 with a progress report to be published in late October 2020. The PTF appointment period it is for the duration of the project.
