The Official University Master Degree in Corporate Finance closes the 2019-2020 academic year by achieving important milestones in postgraduate training that provides students with the most advanced knowledge.
1- Agreement with the Doctoral Programme in Accounting and Corporate Finances of the Universitat de València. This agreement positions the MFC as one of the recognised access routes to the aforementioned Doctorate programme, thus diversifying the employability options of its graduates: MFC students can choose to carry out doctoral studies or develop their professional future in the company as professionals in the field of corporate finance.
2- Incorporation of the MFC into the Faculty of Economics Mentor Club. MFC students have been able to access a mentor of recognised prestige in the field of finance who has advised them in the process of seeking employment opportunities, https://www.uv.es/uvweb/economia/es/facultad/club-mentores-fde/mentores-del-club/master-finanzas-corporativas-1286100405186.html being the results of this first year excellent in terms of satisfaction of both students and mentors.
3- Attracting talent in students and faculty. We have had great professionals in finance among the teaching staff, such as Francisco Duato (One to One), José María Ros (Capital and Management), or Luis Tarabini (EFE & ENE) and students with Extraordinary Career Awards, or with previous experience in finance from JPMorgan, CFA Institute, for example, and from different countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the United States, who are now prepared to face a great professional future.
4- On-site training at the Madrid Stock Exchange facilities. This activity is already part of the Master's training plan and not only allows students to learn more about the ins and outs of stock market operations, but also represents a magnificent opportunity to bring together the group of students and networking.
5- Educational Innovation in Master's Degree Final Projects. The MFC has again enjoyed the distinction of the UV for the educational innovation it applies in the Master’s Degree Final Projects of transfer of research results to the Industry.
6- In addition, the students have participated for the first time in a Strategic Ideation Workshop around the Sustainable Development Objectives within the framework of the New Approaches to Strategic Management course and the project Faculty of Ethical Economics: Training future professionals with ethics. The workshop was held with LEGO Serious Play, a methodology based on kinesthetic learning, in line with the most avant-garde methodologies used by companies in decision-making.
