The scoring of admission applications is made clear both in the Doctoral Program information sheet of the Doctoral School and on the specific website for the Clinical and Health Psychology Program
These criteria and weightings are presented below, as stated in the Doctoral Program Verification document. A Summary Table is provided at the end of this section.
- Academic Qualifications: 50% distributed as follows depending on whether admission is through a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
1.1. Bachelor's Degree
1.1.1. Average grade point average of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with MECES level 3, (30%).
1.1.2. Average grade point average of the Master's degree for admission, or any other degree that replaces it (20%).
1.2. Degree
1.2.1. Average grade point average for the Degree in Psychology (20%).
2.2.1. Average grade point average for the Master's degree leading to admission, or any subsequent Master's degree (30%).
- Knowledge of English, level B-2 as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (10%).
- Other merits related to academic training, accredited collaboration, and professional experience in Clinical and Health Psychology (30%). 20% is awarded to other merits related to academic training, and another 10% to accredited collaboration in research and professional experience in Clinical and Health Psychology.
3.1. Regarding the aspects taken into account in the assessment of academic training (20%), they are broken down as follows:
- University degrees (diploma, bachelor's degree, graduate degree, postgraduate degree, doctorate).
- Other official qualifications (for example, the title of Psychologist Specializing in Clinical Psychology).
3.2. Regarding the aspects that will be taken into account in the evaluation of those related to research and professional activity (10%), they are broken down as follows:
- FPI, FPU, and approved scholarships.
- Research (including project scholarships).
- Collaboration scholarships. Professional experience.
- Interview with candidates: The interview will count 10% in the student's evaluation, along with the other criteria for assessing the candidate's merits and outlined in this application. Specifically, prospective doctoral students will be expected to possess not only knowledge and understanding of the field of Clinical and Health Psychology, but also demonstrate enthusiasm, genuine interest and potential for research, as well as critical thinking. Criteria for the final interview for doctoral student candidates, in the event that an interview is necessary to select candidates who meet all the admission criteria (Approved at the CAPD meeting on February 21, 2024).
