It includes all those lines of research related to water resources management from a multidisciplinary perspective. It emphasises on new technologies available to treat wastewater from the perspective of economic feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, reuse of effluent and monetary valuation of environmental effects.
It is also considered relevant the study of other sources which generate water resources such as desalination, its economic and environmental viability, efficient management of urban water supply, distribution, rates setting, water uses in various sectors, the quality requirements and regulatory criteria, among other topics.
