The Doctorate consists of two periods: a training period and a research period.

According to the Regulations that regulate the Official Postgraduate Studies of the University of Valencia, the bodies responsible for the students' admission, in the case of the Doctoral Studies in Remote Sensing, are:

  • Training Period - Academic Coordinating Committee (CCA) of the Master's Degree in Remote Sensing
  • Research Period - Doctorate Coordinating Committee (CCD)

The training period is constituted by the 60 ECTS of the Master's Degree in Remote Sensing of the University of Valencia.

Students access the research period once they have passed the master's credits corresponding to the training period. In this period, under the supervision of a doctor, the student prepares a Doctoral Thesis based on an innovative research.

This Doctorate qualifies graduates for specialised professional practice, prepares for basic research and/or research applied to multidisciplinary scientific issues, both in the public and private sectors, and provides training for teaching in its diverse levels, specially the university level.
