The lecture will be held before the performance of the play ‘The Monster’s home’ (‘El hogar del monstruo’) by Fernando Marías and Espido Freire, which will take place in the Matilde Salvador Room, on Thursday 22 December at 19:30h.

All monsters are born out of their eras: Frankenstein was born out of the 19th-century scientific revolution; Dracula, out of Renaissance; and who can tell if zombies were born out of the 20th-century mass society? If so, which monsters will the 21st century bring about? For this reason and for this show, Mary Shelley’s Sons will meet either to invent the creatures existing in our era, or to review old monsters and discover what they can tell us.
