On 16 April 2026, Doctor Ignacio Colomer Hernández member of the Sustainable Law in a state of global change (JUSOST) project, took part in the International Congress on Digital Data and Criminal Proceedings, held at the University of Seville.

The meeting, leaded by professors Enrique César Pérez and Alessandro Malacarne, gathered specialists of the most up-to-date issues within legal field: the impact of digital data in criminal proceedings and the challenges its treatment implies in the context of information society.

In this frame, Doctor Colomer’s intervention was focused on the topic Derecho de información y derecho de acceso a las actuaciones en el proceso penal (right to information and right of access to the materials of the case in criminal proceedings), addressing key issues in relation to procedural guarantees and the balance between access to information and protection of fundamental rights in digital environments.

Its participation is aligned with the lines of research of JUSOST (CIPROM 2023-24 GVA) project specially, in relation to the analysis of digitisation effects on justice and the need for building more efficient, rights-based, and sustainable proceeding systems.

Doctor Colomer’s presence in this international forum reinforces the educational projection of the project and its commitment to the study of contemporary challenges for Law in a context of global technological transformation.
