Professors Esplugues and Lee, members of the MedArbValencia Research Group of Excellence, participate in the international congress on "The European Union and Tangible and Intangible Walls: Challenges for Security, Sustainability and the Rule of Law" at the Cuenca headquarters of the UCLM.
Prof. Carlos Esplugues, Director of the Master in Law, Business and Justice of the Universitat de València and member of the research group of excellence MedArbValencia and prof. Gyooho Lee, Professor of Law at Chung Ang University in Seoul and collaborator of the aforementioned group have participated on 30 May 2019 in the international congress "The European Union and the material and immaterial walls: challenges for security, sustainability and the rule of law", co-organised by the UCLM and the Spanish Association of Teachers of International Law and International Relations, on 29 and 30 May 2019 at the UCLM campus in Cuenca, within the framework of the EUGLOBAL project (Jean Monnet Poject " Globalising the Union's Debate: Internal and External Leadership in an Era of Challenges "), which was awarded to him, and in which leading national and international specialists took part.
Prof. Esplugues moderated the first table, which dealt with the material and immaterial barriers in the EU's current external environment and the consequences derived from them. Prof. Lee took part in this table with a paper on "Legal Walls and Gates Between Two Koreas from the Perspective of the Republic of Korea".
