Yesterday, February 23, in the Salón de Corts of the Palau de la Generalitat, the Tribunal de les Aigües de València awarded its Prize to our Colleague and Professor of Geography at the Faculty of Geography and History, University of Valencia, Dr. Jorge Hermosilla Pla. The act presided over by the Tribunal de les Aigües in full, the President of the Generalitat and numerous authorities and the world of culture. With the presence, likewise, of our Rector Dr. Mavi Mestre and a group of colleagues from our Faculty.

We want to congratulate our colleague Jorge Hermosilla for his well-deserved award, for his work on irrigation, water and land issues in front of the Estepa team. Also awarded for his connection to the Tribunal de les Aigües. Professor Hermosilla was in charge, on behalf of the winners, of the reception and appreciation speech for the Awards. The other winners were: The Provincial Council of Valencia, the Integral Water Cycle of the City Council of Valencia, the Council of Good Men of Huerta de Murcia, the Consell Jurídic Consultiu of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Mystery of Elche, the newspaper Levante-EMV and in the NGO Agua Pura.

For our Faculty it is an honor to have among its faculty who is recognized with such a well-deserved award.
