The XXIV edition of the Public art / public university exhibition is announced in 2021. It’s an initiative of the Universitat de València, organised by the Information and Promotion Service (Sedi) with the collaboration of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sports.

Submission deadline

From 8th March to 16th April until 2 p.m.


People of any nationality or place of residence. Proposals can be submitted via an individual or collective application. It’s possible to submit only one application and project per participant or team.

People who were awarded in previous editions cannot participate in the two following editions.


It’s possible to submit any kind of public art project intended to be temporarily exhibited at the UV’s Campuses of Burjassot and Blasco Ibáñez

Please note the following conditions:

  • The proposed artistic intervention must in no way cause aggression nor damage the campuses’ buildings, facilities or architectural and urban context.
  • Art facilities outside campuses must adapt to their open air location and daytime; thus, participants must ensure that the materials and assembly will endure the corresponding weather conditions in the course of four weeks.
  • Should music and/or images be used for projects, they cannot be subject to property rights, and the artist is the sole responsible for using both and obtaining their rights of use.


Applications are submitted by filling out the form available at ENTREU, the Online Office of the Universitat de València.

Project assessment criteria (up to 10 points)

The jury will assess projects by applying the following criteria:

  • • Project’s artistic quality (up to 5 points).
  • • Adequacy of projects to base rules (up to 1,5 points).
  • • Adaptation of artistic interventions to the campus and their potential of transformation, revitalisation and adaptation to surroundings (up to 1,5 points).
  • • Inclusion of gender perspective and/or environmental sustainability in a project’s explanation (up to 1 point).
  • • Link with research lines in any of the UV’s research structures (up to 1 point).

Monetary endowment

The monetary endowment for each of the rewarded projects will be of 2,000€. This endowment will be paid as follows: a 50 % after the licence resolution and the other 50 % once the exposition is done (including installation dismantling and the delivery of the explanatory text about the catalogue-destined work). The economic quantities destined to each project are subject to related withholdings and taxes applicable in each case.
