Director of the Chair, José Manuel Pastor, appeared this afternoon on the A Punt Radio program ¨Cadena de Valor¨ together with the researcher of the Chair, Manuela Pardo.
They took advantage of the Fallas festivities to discuss the findings of a recent study conducted by the department on the economic impact of the Fallas in Valencia, in which both of them participated alongside Professor Juan Francisco Martínez.
Under the title ¨How much do the Fallas cost us, the Falleros?¨, the interviewers have broken down the main cost centers of our festival, highlighting its impact not only in the economic, more traditional and more linked sectors of the Fallas, like costumes, fallera artists, or fireworks, but the trickle-down effect of these expenditures and their ability to generate indirect and induced impacts across virtually all sectors of the Valencian economy.
In addition to the members of the MESVAL Chair, Pastory y Padro in the program also participated Jorge Faubel, from Indumentaria 1700, and station contributor Mayte Pérez.
The program´s podcast is 53 minutes long.
