The Universitat de València Chair of Youth has opened the call for the 3rd edition of the prize for the best research project related to improving mental health and promote the well-being of people between 12 and 30 according to the resolution publiished at DGOV on 31 July 2025 and the UV Official Board on 4 August 2025.
This edition focuses on promoting knowledge transfer and applied research in the territory and thus encouraging the creation of projects that contribute to the improvement of public policies, the innovation and the collaboration between the academic world, professionals and administrations working with young people.
The winner will receive a 3000 € prize, they must be a researcher or a research group under a research centre. Proposals with innovative, transforming and applicable looks on young population will be hghly valuable and strengthen the Chair committment to research capable of creating tangible change in the territory.
Modalities of the call aid
This call has two modalities. The first one is for supporting projects of new research that generate innovative and applied knowledg. These proposals must meet two conditions: generating new knowledge with practical application in a specific context —for instance, a pilot experience with the entity it will be developed in—, and incorporating audiovisual material where the intervention is showcased as strategy of transfer to raise awareness about the topic.
The second modality is for supporting application and transfer of research from the last three years aimed to adolescent and young population mental health or well-being in the Valencian Community. Its goal is to create a practical application to already existing knowledge within a certain context and effectively providing it to proessionals working with this collective. These proposals must meet two conditions: implementing the research results in an specific context and includin a knowledge transfer strategy for professionals materialised in guidelines, recruitment sessions or dissemination and awarenes audiovisual material.
Valuation and submission deadlines
Projects will be evaluated by a commission including the Chair Principal office, and expert researchers of the same field as the projects. Evaluation criteria will take into account the research experience of the group, innocation, justification for the proposals, development and implementation of the project, viability and potential impact.
Sbmission deadline is on 10 September 2025 via an online form on he Universitat de València online office.
This 3rd edition reaffirms the Chair of Youth committment with research and practical transfer betting on projects that prioritise mental health and well-being of the youth and generate useful knowledge for better quality of life and public policies.
