The Chair of Economic and Social Policy of the Valencian Region presents the Conference "Economic Policy and Philosophy". The colloquium will take place on 22 September in the 2P04 Pilar Tamborero classroom, located on the second floor at the Faculty of Economics. The event can be attended via Zoom with the password 839135.
The opening ceremony will be from 9:15 to 9:30 and will feature the interventions of Francisco Muñoz Murgui, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, and Antonio Sánchez Andrés, director of the Chair of Economic and Social Policy of the Valencian Region.
From 9:30 to 11:30 the Conference Session 1 plus discussion will take place. Includes the lectures "North's Institutionalism vs. Construction of Social Reality: The Contribution of John R. Searle", imparted by Carlos Ochando, and "Economics and Causality: A Revision from the Philosophy of Economics", presented by José Atilano Pena. The table will be moderated by Margarita Rohr.
From 11:30 to 12:00 will be the Coffee Break.
From 12:00 to 14:00 the Conference Session 2 plus discussion will be held. The lectures exposed will be "Limits of the economic rhetoric and rationality" in charge of Luis Arenas, and "From the homo oeconomicus to the homo reciprocans: a communitarian critique of liberalism", imparted by Agustín Domingo. This session will be moderated by Antonio Sánchez.
From 14:00 to 14:30 the closing ceremony of the event in charge of Antonio Sánchez Andrés, director of the Chair of Economic and Social Policy of the Valencian Region will take place.
