The meeting will address the topic of IA, new formats and communicative agents, mental health and the extension of the DANA. The seminar will be held on 5 October, 16:00 - 19:00, at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication.
Next 5 October the 3rd Seminar on Valencian Communicative Ecosystem, organised by the Chair for CAPA, will gather professionals and researchers to examine the changes that the media is undergoing and the challenges of informing in a crisis. The event will take place at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication at the Universitat de València.
Artificial Intelligence will be tackled in the debate, its incorporation in Valencian media as well as the required training for its use in journalism. The seminar will also focus on mental health in journalism and the digital narratives of social media.
Other contents will allow to expand the horizon on the Valencian audiovisual ecosystem with sessions dedicated to podcasts and the "new" perspectives on Valencian cinema.
The extension of the DANA on 29 October is another core idea for the meeting. The responsibility of journalists to inform, verification opposite disinformation, fake news and uncertainty, as well as institutional communication and the role of the public during an emergency will be discussed.
The participants include Dolors Palau, María Iranzo, Lucía Márquez, Lorena Cano, Laura Bellver, Adolfo Carratalá, Marta Meneu, José Gamir, Xavi Martí-nez, Àlvar Peris, Vicente Fenoll, Francesc Felipe, Dafne Calvo, Alicia Soria, Ana Camps, Raquel Ejerique, Ximo Aguar and Guillermo López. The seminar is described as an open dialogue between students, professionals in the field and research staff.
