Basketball Chair l’Alqueria del Basket awards its prizes to the best Final Degree Projects (TFG), Final Master’s Degree Project (TFM), and Final Projects of the Higher Vocational Training Degree (TFG FP)

Premios de La Cátedra de baloncesto L’Alqueria del Basket

Last 9 January the resolutions of de Vice-Principal for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer were published. These resolutions include the awards ‘Basketball Chair l’Alqueria del Basket’ of the Universitat de València to the best projects related to basketball.

The purpose of this call is to award the best Final Degree Projects (TFG), Final Master’s Degree Project (TFM) and Final Degree Projects of Higher Technician in Teaching and Socio-Sportive Animation (TSEAS) and which content is oriented towards basketball from any approach and area of knowledge, with the aim of promoting study of any aspect related to this sport among university and FP students. The awards are aimed at students of official degrees from Spanish universities and students of Higher Vocational Training (TSEAS).

This edition, being 6th for TFG and TFM, and 4th for FP, 12 TFG, 4 TFM and 2 TFG FP were presented.

The awarded TFG by Ariadna García Martinez (Universitat de València), titled ‘Correlación entre carga externa e interna durante el entrenamiento en jugadoras de baloncesto profesional’ (‘Correlation between external and internal load for professional basketball female players during training’). Second place, by María Pérez Castelblanque (EDEM University Centre), titled ‘Coach court app: digitalizando las tareas de los entrenadores de baloncesto’ (‘Coach ourt app: digitalising basketball trainers’ tasks’). The secondary award, by Aina Amer Llodrá (CESAG), titled ‘Impacto de la presión psicológica y la fatiga física sobre la efectividad del tiro libre en jugadores infantiles de baloncesto’ (‘Impact of psychological pressure and physical fatigue on free shot efficiency in children basketball players’).

The awarded TFM by David López Sotomayor (Catholic University of Valencia), titled ‘Relación entre la lesión del ligamento cruzado anterior y la fuerza adductora y abductora de cadera en jugadoras de baloncesto semiprofesional. Estudio piloto de casos y controles’ (‘Relation between the anterior cruciate ligament and the adductor and abductor strength of the waist in semiprofessional female basketball players. Pilot study of cases and control’). Second place, by Pau Pons Gomilla (INEFC), title ‘Análisis de las demandas físicas y fisiológicas del entrenamiento en baloncesto femenino’ (Analysis of physical and physiological demands of female basketball training. The secondary award, by Raúl Casillas Cuenca (Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona), titled ‘Efectos de la fatiga mental en el triple hop test con dual-task en jugadoras de baloncesto tras reconstrucción de LCA’ (‘Effects of mental fatigue in triple hop test with dual-task in female basketbal players after reconstruction of ACL’).

The awarded TFG FP by Pablo Sanz Fontaneda (CEPD Kirolene), titled ‘Análisis de situaciones de saque de fondo en el baloncesto profesional’ (‘Analysis of baseline throw-in situations in professional basketball’).
