On next 9 and 10 November, it will take place the international seminar Sociedad Civil y Paisaje. El papel de las organizaciones no gubernamentales (‘Civil society and landscape. The role of the non-governmental organizations’),organised by the Chair of Citizenship Participation and Valencian Landscapes of the Universitat de València.

The non-governmental organizations do not only have an impact on collaboration, cooperation and help the needy, but also leave their mark to the extent that they implement their action in terms of landscape, territory and heritage. In this seminar, it will participate both academics and managers of public administration to talk about the concepts, values, policies and landscape instruments that make effective the European Landscape Convention in the Valencian Community and in Spain.

This meeting will be divided into three main modules.  The first two, of a more theoretical nature in which presentations, lectures and round tables will take place, will be held at the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de València. For its part, the third module will have a trip format to the field by the Alto Palancia region.
