On 8 November, the Chair for Comic Studies SM Foundation-Universitat de València will participate in the Science Week of the University of Cadiz with the talk ‘Enseñar ciencia con los cómics' (Teaching science with comics).

The Chair for Comic Studies participates in the Science Week of the University of Cadiz with the talk ‘Teaching science with comics’, given by the Head of the Chair, Álvaro Pons. This talk is part of the dissemination activities ‘Ciencia-ficción, cómic, cine y arte' (Science fiction, comics, cinema and art), an initiative coordinated by Professor Óscar Bomati Miguel, from the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Cadiz, and also co-financed through the grants for the dissemination of science and knowledge included in the UCA's Own Research and Transfer Plan.

Almost 2,000 students from different high schools and Bachillerato centres in the province of Cadiz will be participating in this event from 4 to 15 November. The UCA has designed a complete programme with workshops, micro-meetings, conferences and a contest, activities that will be distributed among the campuses of Cádiz, Puerto Real and Bahía de Algeciras.

The lecture given by Álvaro Pons will be held on 8 November at 7 p.m. at La Clandestina bar-canteen, in the centre of Cádiz.
