The Chair for Comic Studies SM-UV Foundation participated on 14 October in the Weeks of complementary activities (SAC) at the Faculty of Teacher Training of the Universitat de València.

Professor Álvaro Pons, supervisor of the Chair for Comic Studies SM-UV Foundation, taught in the Room PB-04 a conference titled: ‘Los tebeos: de enemigo público a herramienta didáctica’ (Comic books: from public enemy to teaching tool). This event is part of the programme of the Weeks of complementary activities (from 14 to 18 October) that the Faculty of Teacher Training organises and which includes conferences, workshops, panel discussions and many other activities open for participation for students.

With events like this the Chair for Comic Studies highlights the importance of comic not only as an entertainment tool but also as an element to consider to include in teaching programmes for its huge educational potential.
