On 15 November, the Chair for Comic Studies SM Foundation-Universitat de València will participate in the talk 'Cómic y Museos: Miradas Cruzadas' (Comics and Museums: Crossed Gazes), organised by the Mainel Foundation, which will be attended by Max, Paco Roca and the Head of the Chair, Álvaro M. Pons.

This talk is part of the 24th cycle of Colloquia on Contemporary Visual Culture organised by the Mainel Foundation. The talk will serve to analyse and reflect on the passage of comics into the museum space and the new narrative possibilities it opens up. During the month of November, the Mainel Foundation is holding four colloquia with well-known professionals from the art world who, as they do every year, will meet on Fridays to reflect and discuss the role played by visual culture in today's society. Art and nature, comic, peripheral spaces and spirituality in art are the topics chosen for this 24th edition of the Mainel colloquia.

On Friday 15 November, illustrators Max and Paco Roca, the first and second winner of the National Comic Prize, awarded by the Ministry of Culture in 2007, will participate. Both will talk about the presence of comic in museums alongside Álvaro Pons, head of the Chair of Comic Studies SM Foundation-Universitat de València. The event will start at 19:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the Mainel Foundation (Pl. Porta de la Mar, 6).

The session is free until full capacity is reached.
