The chair continues its presentations of the Connecta-Valencia platform in the Ribera Baixa region.
The platform's content, function and objectives were explained during a session in which municipal technicians and members of the association learned how to access it, the dashboards available and other features.
The tool integrates, processes, and provides citizens with data from the network of sensors deployed in municipalities across the province of Valencia. The sensors capture information on weather conditions, such as temperature, humidity and wind, air quality, noise, mobility and parking availability. They also record water consumption and energy production from solar panels.
Concentrating the available information in a single portal is one of the advantages of Connecta-Valencia, as is the use of a common exchange format. The information it covers allows management decisions to be made based on real data, new services and business opportunities to be generated and, ultimately, the well-being of citizens to be improved while maintaining sustainability policies.
The presentation in the Ribera Baixa region is part of the chair's objective to promote digital transformation in rural areas by encouraging the development and implementation of technological and sustainable solutions that foster competitiveness and innovation in the territory's business fabric.
