The Chair for International Finance-Banco Santander awards the winning team of the Win to Win at the closing ceremony of the Mentoring Club

The Chair for International Finance-Banco Santander at the Universitat de València has participated one more year in the closing ceremony of the academic year 2025-2026 of the Mentoring Club at the Faculty of Economics, held on Thursday, 11 June at the Hall of the Faculty, featuring students, mentors, directors of official master’s degrees, and members of the Advisory Council.

The event started with the welcoming speech of Elvira Cerver, Secretary at the Faculty of Economics and Academic Director of the Club. She thanked the mentors and the students all the effort they have made during the year. In her intervention, Professor Cerver highlighted the participation in the academic year 2025-2026 of over 60 students from the 9 master’s degrees that are part of the Club (Master’s Degree in Creating and Managing Innovative Companies, Master’s Degree in Business Management – MBA, Master’s Degree in Economics, Master’s Degree in Business Strategy, Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance, Master’s Degree in Quality Management, Master’s Degree in International Business Management – iMBA, Master’s Degree in Marketing and Market Research, Master’s Degree in Business Process Planning and Management). Additionally, she reminded the attendees the conferences held during the academic year, that featured Alba Hornero, founder of CandyCV; Dionisia Campuzano, Senior Manager at Airbus; and Pepa Torres, manager at Ecologicval.

Afterwards, the award ceremony for the mentored students during the year 2025-2026 took place and was undertaken by Rosa Yagüe, Vice-Principal for Economy and Planning at the UV; Francisco Muñóz, Dean at the Faculty of Economics; Elvira Cerver, Secretary at the Faculty of Economics; and Luisa Bravo, President of the Mentoring Club.

In the central moment of the event, Begoña Herrero, Head of the Chair for International Finance, along with the Dean, the Vice-Principal, and the President of the Club awarded ‘XDX.INC’, the winning team of the Win to Win, which is funded by the Chair for International Finance-Banco Santander. The winning team was comprised by Diego Gómez Cuevas, Daniel Marco Canet, Guillermo Palacios, and Xiang Ye.

After that, the “Transformación Digital: talento, cultura y liderazgo en un mundo cambiante” (‘Digital Transformation: talent, culture, and leadership in a changing world’) conference took place, and it was held by Magdalena Cordero, current president of ASEDICIA, and, between 2008 and 2023, Director of Information, Workplace and Innovation at the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg, who was introduced by the Dean of the Faculty, highlighting her career milestones , personal values and acting principles that decorate her outstanding curriculum.

At the end, the President of the Mentoring Club at the UV and the Vice-Principal for Economy and Palanning closed the act, expressing their gratitude to the sponsors, the members of the Advisory Council, the students, and the mentors for being part of that initiative, which fosters the exchange of experiences, professional development, and the building of stronger bonds between the university and the business environment.
