
The seminar highlighted the interrelationship between political, social and economic aspects in the progress of European integration and put forward proposals for the possible modification of the treaties in order to make progress towards greater integration commitments.
The Jean Monnet Chair (Services of General Economic Interest in the framework of social and territorial cohesion – SIEGE) organised the international seminar ‘The Reform of Treaties: towards greater democratic legitimacy and greater guarantees in the right of access to economic services of general interest in social Europe.’
The seminar, which concluded on Monday 2 October, was held in two sessions in the Adolfo Miaja de la Muela Room of the UV’s Faculty of Law.
