The Chair for the Transformation of the Economic Model: Circular economy (GVA-UV) participates in the Conference celebrated in Santarém (Portugal) and organized by Águas de Portugal group under the title: Technology Transfer Opportunities In New Regulatory Framework.

The Chair for the Transformation of the Economic Model: Circular Economy, directed by Francesc Hernández, has been invited to participate in an event which tries to make the most of the opportunities of technology transference within the field of circular economy. 

The research team of the Chair has a lot of experience in this field and has contributed to different lines of work such as the analysis of the costs in the implementation of projects of circular economy, the number of social and environmental profits generated and the study of its viability and sustainability through business plans.  

A collaboration has been established in order to exchange experiences about circular economy giving special attention to the establishment of regulations and proposing funding formulas in order to encourage circular economy projects. It is intended to also explore successful studies about sustainable management of the water analysing its economic implications and the real potential of its reutilization. 

The Chair for the Transformation of the Economic Model: Circular Economy

The Chair for the Transformation of the Economic Model: Circular Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Universitat de València aims to study, develop proposals, promote knowledge and disseminate issues related to the circular economy perspective. The aim is to promote the transformation of the current economic model towards one based on innovation, knowledge and sustainability from an environmental, productive and social point of view.

Under the sponsorship of the Regional Ministry of Finance, Economy and Public Administration of the Generalitat Valenciana, this chair is directed by Francesc Hernández and its activity is focused on the promotion of the circular economy through training, research and dissemination activities. 

In addition, the Chair for the Transformation of the Economic Model: Circular Economy is part of a Network of Chairs for the Transformation of the Economic Model in which all the Public Universities of the Valencian Community are integrated.
