The Chair for the Rational Use of Medicines was established in November 2023 following an agreement between the UV and the MICOF.
This afternoon, the MICOF members José Sendra (research, teaching and training), Maria Teresa Vicedo (rural pharmacy) and Alberto Martí (Scientific Committee) convened at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the Universitat de València with Rosa María Donat (Vice-Principal for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer), Maria Luisa Ferrándiz (Vice-Dean of the Faculty) and Professor Mari Carmen Montesinos. This was the first meeting of the UV–MICOF Chair’s Monitoring Committee, established on 2 November.
The Joint Monitoring Committee aims to:
- monitor the development of the Chair’s activities;
- encourage general communication between the parties at all times, resolving all issues immediately or, when immediate resolution is not an option, requesting the intervention of those responsible;
- propose candidates for the Head of the Chair.
Its main activities include:
- approving the Chair’s yearly programme of activities, at the request of the Chair Head;
- approving the budget and expenditures;
- monitoring academic activities;
- evaluating past activities;
- approving the yearly report of the Chair, at the request of the Chair’s Head.
