The Council has approved an agreement between the Presidency of the Generalitat and the UV in order to create the Chair for Economic and Social Policy of the Valencian Region

The Valencian government (Generalitat Valenciana) understands that the study and understanding of social and economic policies is crucial for decision-making. And, because of this, it is an essential element in order to establish general guidelines for the government in this field.

The main goal of the Chair for Economic and Social Policy of the Valencian Region is to carry out actions that encourage research and dissemination of the doings that push forward the dynamism of the Economic and Social Policies of the Valencian Community, making the establishment of general criteria that help the institutions of the Generalitat in the decision-making easier.

In addition, an Observatory of Technopolitics will be created. Its mission will be the recompilation, organisation and dissemination of the strategic data and documentation related to the Economic and Social Policies in the Valencian Community.
