The meeting took place last Tuesday, 7 May, on ‘How can taxation systems better support the social economy?’.
Mª Pilar Alguacil Marí, full-time university professor and director of the the Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives the Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives of the Universitat de València and of Spain, was invited to participate in the EECS public hearing on how can taxation systems better support the social economy.
During the EESC session, she encouraged the audience to contribute to the development of policy frameworks for a stronger economy in Europe, as well as to explore how tax policy can create synergies with other policies in order to build an effective framework for the social economy.
