The Divina Pastora Joint Committee of Adapted Sports has delivered twenty-three grants to students from the UV, in 2012, confirming so its decided support to the promotion and foment of sports in its competitive and recreational skills, the barrier suppression and a best compatibility between its studies and its sports practical. This assistance, together with the new projects presentation for 2013 have centered the content of the last yearly meeting of the Joint Committee of the Chair.

 In this encounter it was approved the Yearly Memory of the activities realized in 2012, the budget execution corresponding to the current period and the activities purpose to develop in 2013. Then, the Chair Manager, José Campos, presented the project for this year that, after its debate and its exposition, was approved unanimously, by Joint Commission members.

The project adds the Research Area and highlights the creation of the Adapted Sports Observatory in the UV, Divina Pastora Chair prize, directed to End of Degree Studies, Masters or Full Professor, developed in adapted sports context, and a Support to Research Projects line.
The meeting took place last Friday in the Principal Office building of the UV. The Joint Commission of the Chair is formed by: Silvia Barona, Chair President and Vice-Principal of Communication and Institutional Relations; José Campos, director of the Chair and the Sports and Physical Education Service of UV; Pilar Nieto, general sub-director of corporative responsibility of the Divina Pastora chair; Luis de Bago, director of the Divina Pastora Foundation; and Miguel Ángel Torregrosa, program coordinator of sports, adapted to the Sports and Physical Education Service .

During 2012, the Divina Pastora Chair of Adapted Sports developed an activity, according to its foundational purposes, specially based in the help of the sports people, the training, and the dissemination. A programme, in which it have been included training, cultural and University extension activities, orientated to the knowledge, the dissemination, the incentive and the educative cooperation in the context of the adapted sport, as well as the meeting organization and technical and technologic dissemination sessions, based on innovative affairs, such as the workshop “How to elaborate accessible documents to disability attention , in collaboration with the Unit for the Integration of Disabled People of the General Foundation of the UV.
