A consortium formed by the University of Valencia, DevStat, the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria and AGILIS Greece has been awarded by Eurostat a 4-year framework contract on Statistical Methodology, as second contractor.

It is the first contract secured through the collaboration of DevStat and the University of Valencia, which was steered by DevStat Chair at the University of Valencia. The framework contract has entered into effect on the 21st March 2018 and will be implemented through specific contracts offering methodological support to Eurostat and other Directorates General of the European Commission in all statistical areas from process design to data dissemination.

The framework contract will, most likely, put emphasis on statistical areas related to data validation, data analytics, data visualization and dissemination and new methods for new data sources integration (e.g. big-data or smart statistics), in order to give response to the current challenges of the European official statistics environment.
