
The Universitat de València, through the Youth Chair, has announced the first edition of grants for the best research project related to improving mental health and promoting well-being in young people between the ages of 12 and 30, with a value of 5,000 euros.
The deadline to apply for the grant is 15 October and the application procedure is outlined in the Rules and regulations established on the 20 July 2023 by the Office of the Principal of the Universitat de València. The full text regarding the grant can be found in the National grants database.
Beneficiaries of the first edition grant may be any researcher or research team made up entirely, or in part, of researchers linked to research centres within the Valencian Community. The principal investigator must be a doctoral candidate.
Priority will be given to primary, secondary and tertiary prevention projects aimed at promoting skills and competences that improve well-being or prevent mental health problems related to ICT addiction, stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and behaviour. The goal of these grants is to promote research in topics concerning the mental health and well-being of young people from ages 12 to 30.
The research grant for the winning researcher or team is financed from Chapter VII of the budget of the Youth Chair of the Universitat de València for the 2023 year, for an amount of 5,000 euros. A single grant of this amount is awarded to the individual or research team submitting the winning project. The grant will be awarded in the name of the principal investigator of the winning project and will be paid to the institution to which the PI is linked and where the research is carried out.
