Within the framework of the activities organised by the FISABIO-UV Chair for promoting biomedical research it will take place a conference focused in the impact of the Pneumocystis micro-fungus in children.

The conference, entitled “Sub-clinic infection caused by Pneumocystis in children as an emergent subject in public health”, will be taught by professor Sergio Vargas of the Institute of Biomedical Science of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile. This lecture will have as main axis the update of molecular epidemiology studies that document the prevalence of Pneumocystis infection in immunocompetent children and adults, aiming to improve the health indexes and the prevention of this pulmonary infection.

This activity will take place on Thursday 5 October at 1 p.m. in the seat of the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of Valencia Region, located in Av. Cataluña nº 21.
