The Agri-food Cooperative School of the Chair of Agri-food Cooperatives has organised a new online course on ‘Finance for non-financiers’ from 2 to 21 February.
The course 'Finance for non-financiers of cooperative enterprises' will deal with the economic regime of cooperatives, detailing their most characteristic features. It will explain the why, how and for what purpose of accounting, as well as annual accounts. The information obtained from the annual accounts will be analysed in order to make an economic and financial assessment of the cooperative. The course will end with an investigation into the different ways to finance a cooperative.
The course 'Finance for non-financiers of cooperative enterprises’ is for people who are not experts in finance, but who have some degree of financial responsibility in their job, such as board members, managers and people who work in any department of a cooperative and are curious to learn about its financial workings. It is also directed toward professionals or students who have a background in finance, but want to learn the specifics of finance when it comes to cooperatives.
The Chair of Agri-food Cooperatives has a national scope and engages in research training and knowledge transfer activity on the legal, fiscal and economic-accounting regime of Spanish agri-food cooperatives.
