The director of the Youth Chair of the Universitat de València has participated in the 2026 Secondary and Baccalaureate Debate League organized by SeDi UV.
The Universitat de València hosted from 5 to 7 February the local phase of the Secondary and Baccalaureate Debate League, organized by the Servei d’Informació i Dinamització d’Estudiants with the collaboration of the Xarxa Vives d’Universitats and Escola Valenciana.
In the final, held at the Auditori Josep Montaner of the Espai Vives, the team from IES Ramon Llull was proclaimed champion after several intense debates and will represent the University in the final of the competition, which will take place at the Universitat d’Alacant from 20 to 22 April. Mireia Alacreu Martínez, from IES Sant Vicent Ferrer, received the award for best speaker.
In this edition of the debate, the professor and director of the Càtedra de Joventut of the Universitat de València, Paz Viguer, was part of the jury together with other scientific and academic representatives, contributing her expertise in education and training to assess the public speaking and argumentative skills of the participating teams.
Her presence highlights the Chair’s commitment to initiatives that promote the development of communication skills and dialogue among students in formative stages.
