The Chair of Intelligent and Sustainable Territories informs that the call for proposals for the Data Spaces Kit is open until March 31st, 2026, and that the Municipios ODS platform invites city councils, provincial councils, associations of municipalities and other entities to formalise their membership in one of its Sustainable Cities data spaces in order to speed up access to non-repayable grants of up to 50.000 euros. This type of action is an essential preliminary step to applying for the grant, which is financed by European funds and managed by Red.es.
Applications for grants will be decided on a non-competitive basis, meaning they will be allocated in order of receipt. They are processed through Red.es, the only official channel for submitting applications and complying with all requirements.
Entities participating in a Municipios ODS data space will receive technical assistance throughout the process and support from data connection to use case development and financing process management. These entities will be able to cross-reference information on health, sustainability, and the environment to prioritise investments, justify actions, and make evidence-based decisions.
Funding will amount to up to 50.000 euros in non-repayable grants per membership for public entities and up to 30.000 euros for private entities. To participate, you must be a local public administration or supra-municipal entity, have been actively involved in administrative activities for at least six months, sign the agreement to join the data space, and share and connect relevant municipal data such as mobility, air quality, health, urban planning, and safety.
