The winning papers of the 17th Congress of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics

The 17th Congress of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics (AEE) will be held on May 25th, 26th and 27th in Alcalá de Henares. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday morning, May 26th.

The Scientific Committee and the Organizing committee of the XVII Congress of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics (AEE) have announced the research papers awarded in this 2022 edition.

In the “Best Thesis Chapter” category, the winner was Evelyn Lizeth Chanatásig Niza, with her work entitled A volatility spillover analysis with realised semi(co)variances in Australian electricity markets, focused on Australian electricity markets.

In the category of “Best Undergraduate Degree Final Project (TFG)”, Javier Eduardo Afonso Arévalo won the award for his monograph on energy planning in Germany, entitled An approach to Energy Planning in Germany - Energy Transition towards a low-carbon economy.

And in the category “Best Master’s Degree Thesis (TFM)”, Peio Alcorta Iglesias has been recognised for his study on the risks assumed by regulators and investors when establishing incentives for renewable electricity, a research work entitled Who bears the risk?  Analyzing the strategic interaction between regulators and investors when setting incentives for renewable electricity.
