The director of the chair, Paz Viguer, introduces the pin_jove project with a 6-minute video launching an audiovisual series of 10 educational and awareness-raising training modules.
The Youth Chair is the result of an agreement between the University of Valencia and the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ, Valencian Youth Institute). They have just launched the pin_jove project, which is designed to offer useful tools to help those working with young people reinforce strong socio-educative accompaniment.
The project kicked off with the publication of Module 1. Socio-educative accompaniment for youth. In this first module, the director of the Youth Chair and professor of Education and Developmental Psychology, Paz Viguer Seguí, explains how working with young people means assisting their growth development and personal well-being. Professor Viguer highlights the importance of tools, like pin_jove, that help guide professionals to better understand the world of young people, identify their community, and take effective action.
Pin_jove is an awareness-raising project comprised of a series of formative, scenario-based modules on the basics of working with young people from an integrative socio-educative accompaniment approach. In each module, an expert introduces a key element and addresses its importance in youth-based professions and how to put that element into practice. After each module, materials will be published and specialised trainings will be offered. The premiere season of pin_jove will contain 10 modules:
