According to the data of the study about employment of the Official Masters Studies of the UV, students graduated in the Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics by the ETSE-UV have an average satisfaction rating of 7.7 out of 10 and their average monthly salary is around 1300 euros. In 2019, 55% of the students taking the Master’s Degree already had a job at the end of the first year, usually through research grants.
It is one of the most popular Master’s Degrees at the University. This academic year, 205 students from 51 different universities have pre-registered. The UV has had the most pre-registrations with a total of 61 students, followed by the UPV with 17 and very closely followed by the Universities of Seville and Alicante, both with 12 pre-registered students.
Among the indicators measured in the study employment of the Official Masters of the UV, the study also highlights that 100% of the graduates surveyed are working and that 91% of the jobs correspond to the level of studies and the degree studied. This study also highlights that 96% of them work full working hours and that 87.5% of the graduates got a job within a maximum period of 6 months from the time they finished their degree.
This employment study of Universitat de València`s Official Masters analyses every 4 years the main indicators of up to three promotions of graduates from each degree. In order to carry out this study, surveys are carried out among the graduates. The data shown are based on students who completed their studies in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The Master’s Degree has an excellent teaching staff, most of whom are leading researchers in subjects related to Bioinformatics. Many of them are researchers at I2SysBio, a joint UV-CSIC research institute, where 5 of them have obtained funding to work against COVID-19. A third of the teaching staff are external experts with recognised prestige in their lines of research.
Remember that the pre-registration for the ETSE_UV University Masters will be open until June 15.
