It intends to train master’s degree graduates with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical skills in Bioinformatics, who are able to solve specific problems in academic, professional and clinical environments, and who can develop new computational strategies and computer systems that cover the needs of the current bioinformatics projects of large-scale analysis. 

The master’s degree will train experts with knowledge and skills oriented to the development of new computational strategies and computer systems useful for biomedical or biotechnological research.

Apart from allowing the incorporation to research groups and departments of public and private organisations, the acquired skills will also enable the beginning of a new professional career in companies in the biomedical and biotechnological sectors that require the usage of bioinformatics by specialists.
