Biography
 

Ingrid García Wistädt holds a degree in German Philology (2000) and English Philology (1998), a diploma in Social Work (1993) and a PhD in Philology (2005) from the Universitat de València. Currently, she is Associate Professor of German Philology, attached to the Department of English and German Philology at the UV. She has participated in numerous research projects and is a member of the permanent research group RIALE of the UV (GIUV2013-078), whose main activity is to lay the foundations for a comprehensive investigation of intercultural relations between Spain and German-speaking countries from the Middle Ages to the present day. His main fields of research at present, in addition to those related to the subject of his doctoral thesis (From the Minnesänger to the Romantic artist. Ludwig Tieck's romanticism through the figure of the musician and his literary configuration), are precisely in the field of intercultural relations between Germany and Spain, especially the literature of German travellers in Spain in the 19th century. In the field of teaching, he teaches German literature from its beginnings up to the 19th century. She has also been involved in many management tasks, as well as being a member of the University Senate and the Faculty Board and participating in various academic committees. Between 2006-2018 she was Secretary of the Department of English and German Philology and since 2019 she has been director of the Master's Degree in Research in Languages and Literatures.
