Ana R. Calero Valera is Senior Lecturer of German Philology at the University of Valencia. She presented her doctoral thesis "Las obras de Heiner Müller en torno a Shakespeare: reescritura paródica" in 2001, and she obtained the extraordinary doctorate award in 2004. Since 2005, she has been a member of several research projects on contemporary and postdramatic theater in German language. Diana González Pastor, B.A. in Translation and Interpreting at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (1998), MBA at School of International Studies (2005, ESCI-University Pompeu Fabra) and Ph.D. in Translation and Interpreting at Universitat Politècnica de València (2012). Sworn translator (English-Spanish) since 2000. Lecturer of translation and English language at Universitat de València, Department of English and German Philology. She has led the Research Project DITAPE, Teaching and Researching Machine Translation and Postediting (GV/2021/080), funded by the Conselleria d’Innovació, Universitats, Ciència i Societat Digital of the Valencian Region (2021-2022) and coordinated the education innovation project POSEDITrad (2019-2021). She is secretary of the Interuniversity Institute of Applied Modern Languages of the Valencian Region (IULMA) and codirects its scientific collection of monographs. Her research interests focus on the translation of tourism texts, translation technologies and the didactics of translation.

Jesús Jiménez Martínez, graduate in Hispanic Philology (specialty: Valencian) by Universitat de València (1990). Doctor in Philology by Universitat de València (1997), with the PhD dissertation L'estructura sil·làbica del dialecte valencià, supervised by professors Ángel López-García and Manuel Pérez Saldanya. Special distinction award for his degree and special distinction award for his PhD. He currently works as a full professor at the Department of Catalan Philology, Universitat de València (1999). From September 2018 until February 2025 he acted as head of the Department of Catalan Philology; he has also acted as secretary of the Department of Catalan Philology (2002-2006) and as head of studies of the Degree in Catalan Philology (2010-2015). Violeta Martínez-Paricio is Associate Professor at Universitat de València. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Tromsø-Arctic University of Norway. She was a Research Fellow at the Norwegian center of excellence CASTL (Center for Advanced Study in Theoretical Linguistics) (2009-2013) and, after that, she was hired at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim, 2014). In 2016 she obtained two competitive merit-based postdoctoral contracts (VALi+D and Juan de la Cierva) and joined the Spanish university system. In 2019 she became Profesora Ayudante Doctora at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2019-2021). Her research interests cover various aspects of phonology and morphophonology, from a crosslinguistic and theoretical perspective. She has published articles in high impact factor journals (Phonology, Linguistic Inquiry, Natural Language & Linguistic Theory, Linguistics, Verba ...), books and book chapters in prestigious publishing houses (Cambridge University Press, Routledge, Tirant lo Blanch ...) and has presented her work at many international conferences. Along with her theoretical line of research, since 2014 she collaborates with a multidisciplinary research group in Norway (NTNU), with whom she has contributed to the development of a virtual platform for teaching second language pronunciation (Computer-Assisted Listening and Speaking Tutor) and she has implemented parts of the multilingual database L1-L2map.

Eulàlia Miralles Jori (Barcelona, 1971). After studying Catalan Philology at the Universitat de Barcelona (1994), I undertook predoctoral research at the Universitat de Barcelona (1996-1999). I obtained my Phd in 2001 at the same University, where I have been a researcher and assistant lecturer (2000; 2002). From 2002-2004 I was a postdoc researcher at the Universitat de Girona, from 2006-2008 a researcher at the same University, in 2008 a researcher at the Universidad de Córdoba and from 2008-2010 a postdoc researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2011 I accepted a position of contracted lecturer at the Universitat of València, and since 2012 I am associate professor of Catalan Philology at the Universitat de València. I taught at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (since 2007) and as a visiting professor at the universities of Nottingham (2009), Roma-Tre (2013), Ca’Foscari in Venice (2015) and Sassari (2021). I am a member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, the Aula Carles Riba at the Universitat de Barcelona / Institut d'Estudis Catalans, the Institut de Llengua i Cultura Catalanes at the Universitat de Girona and the Center for Catalan Studies at the University of California-Santa Barbara. My research focuses on the study of literary culture in Early Modern Ages, from XVth to XIXth centuries, with a particular interest on non-fictional works as historiography, cronicles, diaries, memories, daybooks, etc., specially during the period of the Baroque. Since some years, I am interested on historical and political literature (fictional and non-fictional), the history of identities and counteridentities (specially on the construction of national catalan identity), cultured poetry (Joan Pujol and Francesc Fontanella, among others) and gender studies (secular women).

My main lines of research are three: 1) the Christian Greek language and literature, 2) the Byzantine hagiography and 3) the reception of classical literature in the literature of the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The first and second lines of research converged in the doctoral thesis work on the Greek texts about Saint Thecla -Acts of Paul and Thecla from the 2nd century and Life and Miracles of Saint Thecla from the 5th century- and subsequently they have been concentrated in two well differentiated areas. On the one hand, in the field of Christian Greek language and literature, the Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles as a whole and in comparison with other texts of the time have been studied in different works, among which the book Tecla de Iconio. La santa ideal, un ideal de santa (2021) stands out. In addition, I am currently actively participating in the preparation of the critical edition, translation and commentary of the Acts of Tomás, within the project "Edition, translation, and commentary of Acta Thomae", financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of the Government of Spain (2020-2023). On the other hand, regarding Greek hagiography, the compilations of miracles of saints from the first period of the Byzantine Empire have centered most of the works already published, such as the Spanish translation of the Life and Miracles of Thecla published in the BAC or El culto a las santas y los santos en la Antigüedad tardía y la época bizantina in Síntesis, where the relationship of the Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles is also addressed as a direct antecedent of later hagiography. In this area, I have been the main researcher of the project "Literary Topics in Late-Ancient Christian Hagiography in a Feminine Key" (GV/2020/013), financed by the R+D+i program of the Conselleria d'Innovació, Universitats, Ciència i Societat Digital within the Subsidies subprogram for the realization of R+D+i projects developed by emerging research groups (2020-2021). Recently, I have obtained a grant as main researcher for another project financed by the same entity and scholarship program for the years 2022 and 2023 with the title "Literary topics and narrators in female martyrdom literature" (CIGE/2021/075). Finally, regarding the reception of classical literature in the literature of the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the main objective has been to analyze the presence of elements from tradition and classical literature in didactic and moral works directed women of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

During the completion of the doctoral thesis, a stay of 7.5 months was carried out at the Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna (Italy) and in the second semester of the 2013-2014 academic year, a visiting professor position was obtained at the University of Memphis (USA). In August 2016, a research stay was carried out at the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library of Harvard University in Washington DC thanks to obtaining a scholarship financed by the institution itself. From September 2017 to November of the same year, a 3-month research stay was carried out at the University of Nantes financed by the program for the promotion of research of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Generalitat Valenciana. In July 2019, a 1-month research and training stay in the Coptic language was carried out at the Hill's Museum and Manuscript Library of St. John's University (Minnesota) financed by Dumbarton Oaks. In February 2020, another 1-month teaching / research stay was carried out at the University of Havana (Cuba), invited by this university. In May 2022, a two-week research stay was carried out at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (The Netherlands). From September 2014 to September 2019 he has held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia with a change of profile included in September 2016 through a contest from Didactics of language and literature to Classical Philology. Since 2020 he has held the position of Associate Professor.

The publications exceed 70 in total. The languages ​​of these publications include Catalan, French, English and Italian.

Ferran Robles Sabater, B.A. in English Philology (2001) and German Philology (2002) at the Universitat de València, M.A. in Translation at the Universidad de Sevilla (2007) and Ph.D. in Philology at the Universitat de València (2006). He is full professor of German Linguistics (since 2024) at the English and German Studies Department of the Universitat de València. He has been director of the research group Contrastive Linguistics German-Iberoromance (CLiGIR) and is director of the Inter-University Institute for Applied Modern Languages (IULMA). His research focuses on discourse analysis, text grammar, contrastive linguistics (German vs. Spanish/Catalan) and didactic lexicography. He is chief editor of the international journal MonTI. Monographies on Translation and Interpreting (ISSN 1889-4178, e-ISSN 1989-9335). He has chaired six international conferences on lexicography and contrastive linguistics: Die Wörterbücher des Deutschen (2013), Contrastivica III: Deutsch-iberische Tagung zur kontrastiven Linguistik (2014), ¿Sin orden ni concierto? Mireia Vives Martínez holds a B.A. in English Studies (2016) and a B.A. in Modern Languages and their Literatures (2018), as well as a PhD in Languages, Literatures, Cultures, and their Applications (2022) from the Universitat de València. She works currently as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and German Philology at the same university. She is a member of the Research Group RIALE ‘’Relaciones interculturales Alemania-España‘’ (GIUV2013-078) (https://www.uv.es/riale), whose main objective is to establish the basis for a comprehensive research on intercultural relations between Spain and German-speaking countries from the Middle Ages to the present day. Her research interests include issues of female agency in German literature, a topic she has explored in her doctoral thesis (‘Unschuldig sterb ich und doch in Schuld: La culpa como tema en la obra de Theodor Fontane a partir del caso de Effi Briest’) and intercultural relations between Germany and Spain based on the accounts of nineteenth-century German and English women travellers to Spain.
