MARÍA ROSA ÁLVAREZ SELLERS. PhD in Philology and Graduate in Hispanic Philology (University of Valencia) and Portuguese Philology (University of Salamanca), combines both specialties in her research activity. Vicent Cucarella Ramon is Assistant Professor at the Department of English and German at the University of València, Spain. He studied English Philology and obtained his PhD (2017) on African American literature. His research interests focus on U.S. and Canadian literature with a special emphasis on African American and African Canadian literatures as well as on the literature of the African Diaspora across the Black Atlantic. He has published articles in national and international journals, and also book chapters, on Black authors such as Zora Neale Hurston, Toni Morrison, Richard Wright, Jesmyn Ward, Wayde Compton or Esi Edugyan, among others. Ingrid García Wistädt holds a degree in German Philology (2000) and English Philology (1998), a diploma in Social Work (1993) and a PhD in Philology (2005) from the Universitat de València. Currently, she is Associate Professor of German Philology, attached to the Department of English and German Philology at the UV. She has participated in numerous research projects and is a member of the permanent research group RIALE of the UV (GIUV2013-078), whose main activity is to lay the foundations for a comprehensive investigation of intercultural relations between Spain and German-speaking countries from the Middle Ages to the present day. Dr. Carmen Gregori is a  senior lecturer  at the Dpt. of English and German Philology since 1991, a member of IULMA (University Institute of Modern Languages) since 2005, member of the Language Commission of the University of Valencia. She has experience teaching English at all levels and has also taught Spanish as a foreign language both in Spain and abroad (Iowa University, Middlebury College, United States). He completed a Master's degree in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Nottingham and has been a visiting professor at several foreign universities (Nottingham University, Birmingham University, Iowa University, Cambridge University, Università degli studi di Bergamo, Swansea University, Queen Mary University, George Mason University). Brigitte Jirku, PhD in German Philology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA (1990). She has studied German and French philology and has taught at several universities, especially in the United States. She currently works as a Professor of German Literature in the “Departament of English and German Philology”. In the last twenty years she has carried out numerous research stays in German and Austrian universities and is a senior collaborator with the Elfriede Jelinek Forschungszentrum (Universität Wien).

Her recent research has focused on the study of gender discourses in relation to discourses of power and violence in German-language literature. In addition, her work on literary spaces exploring memories of collective and individual violence has led her to analyze the victim-perpetrator paradigm and its redefinition in contemporary German-language literary texts.

Gonçal López-Pampló (Valencia, 1982) holds degrees in Catalan Studies (UV) and English Studies (UNED). Ferran Robles Sabater, B.A. in English Philology (2001) and German Philology (2002) at the Universitat de València, M.A. in Translation at the Universidad de Sevilla (2007) and Ph.D. in Philology at the Universitat de València (2006). He is associate professor of German Linguistics (2017) a the English and German Studies Department of the Universitat de València. He is director of the research group Contrastive Linguistics German-Iberoromance (CLiGIR) and from 2019 he is academic secretary of the Inter-University Institute for Applied Modern Languages (IULMA). His research focuses on discourse analysis, text grammar, contrastive linguistics (German vs. Spanish/Catalan) and didactic lexicography. He is secretary of the international journal MonTI. Monographies on Translation and Interpreting (ISSN 1889-4178, e-ISSN 1989-9335). Profesor contratado doctor del Departamento de Filología Clásica de la Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació de la Universitat de València. Es diplomado en profesorado de Educación General Básica (1986) y licenciado (1989) y doctor en filología clásica (2000) por la Universidad de Valencia.  

Ha impartido docencia en la Unidad de Latín, en asignaturas relacionadas con lingüística y literatura latina y con tradición y recepción de la cultura clásica. También ha participado en la docencia del Máster de Profesorado de Secundaria y en el Máster de Investigación en Lenguas y Literaturas. 

Forma parte del grupo de investigación Diccionario Hispánico de la Tradición Clásica (DHTC), con sede en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, y ha sido miembro de diversos proyectos sobre recepción de la literatura clásica de la Universidad de Valencia, como el Grup de Investigació en Recepció de les Literatures Clàssiques (GIRLC) y el Grup d’Investigació en Retòrica, Humanisme i Tradició Clàssica (GIRHTC), en el seno de los cuales ha realizado la mayor parte de su labor como investigador.
