Entry requirements (article 16 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, amended by the Royal Decree 861/2010): “For entering to the official teachings of the Master’s will be necessary to hold an official university degree or other issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area, that allow entry in the issuing country for entering to the Master’s degree. Furthermore, the graduates under educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area can also enter to the Master’s, without the approval of their degrees, after verification by the University of those who certify a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that allow entry in the issuing country of the degree for entering to postgraduate teachings. The entry by this procedure doesn’t imply, in any case, the approval of the previous degree of the applicant, or its recognition for purposes other than to study the Master’s degree”. The preferred degrees for entering to the Master’s are: Biology, Psychology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Medicine, Biomedicine, Biomedical Engineering and more degrees of the area of health sciences, in any of these degrees will be necessary background credits.

In the event that the demand exceeds the places available the following assessment criteria for the candidates will be applied:

1. Academic record and curriculum vitae 50%. Similarity of the undergraduate studies with neurosciences, biotechnology and health science 10%. Certified skills in English language 10%. Courses related to neurosciences and biotechnology 20%. Publications, reports and conference papers in the area of neurosciences and biotechnology 20%.

2. Personal interview 50%. The interview will be done by two members of the CCA, face to face or by videoconference, it will consider the following aspects:

  • Guarantees by the professor of ISIS-Tempus Consortium 10%
  • Commitment of some laboratory of the ISIS-Tempus Consortium to accept the Master’s Degree final project 20%.
  • Reasoning skills in the area of Neurosciences and biotechnology 10%.
  • Interest in specific aspects of neuroscience and biotechnology based in previous studies 10%.
