SEPS ands ASMI national conferences: Attachment and prevention of psychopathology in childhood

The Spanish Society of Social Paediatrics (SEPS) and the Partnership for Children’s Mental Health from the ASMI gestation, WAIMH Spanish subsidiary, organise the national conferences “Attachment and prevention of psychopathology in childhood”. These conferences will be held on 17 and 18 February in Almería.

The national conferences SEPS and ASMI are celebrated in order to rise awareness of psychopathology which is associated to attachment disorders in the perinatal stage and the early childhood, as well as promoting their prevention. In addition, during these two days, the short- and long-term effects of the attachment disorders in these stages will be exposed.

The aim of these conferences is to reveal the ADBB scale as a tool for detecting the attachment disorders in the early childhood, as well as emphasising the importance of health teams in promoting the attachment and prevention of psychopathology.

Theoretical-practical sessions will be carried out on both Friday 17 and Saturday 18 February, each thematic will be exposed with practical examples and then they will be taken up for discussion.

Among the different presentations, it can be highlighted

  • "Early autism: interactive risk factors and warning sings”
  • “Evaluation of infant-parent attachment. Intervention programs in infant self-regulation diseases”
  • “Infant psychosomatic disorders: intervention on paediatrics hospitalist and primary care”.

These conferences are operated by Ana Rosa Sánchez Vázquez, Paediatric of Complejo Hospitalario Torrecárdenas (Almería) and Pascual Palau Subiela, responsible for the organization of Official Master and Doctorate in Perinatal and Child Psychology and Psychopathology of Universitat de València and ASMI Waimh Spain, and Chair ofASMI.

Among the more than ten participating speakers, we will count on the presence of Sandra Simó Teruel, professor of Master in Perinatal and Child Psychology and Psychopathology; and Maria Romeu Devis and Carla Pérez Martínez, doctorates of the doctoral programme and former students of the master.
