Two Weeks

For those all who consider developing a future professional activity on the international level, find attached an innovative programme called Two Weeks (www.twoweeks.es). The programme organised by Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and supported, for the third consecutive year, by Universidad de Valencia, is open to students of any Engineering and of any University.

Its coordinator, Professor Antonio Reig, is looking for candidates with good English level and he will make an interview/presentation next 17th May at 14:00h in our Schools, in Sala de Juntas 0.2.4 (Meeting room).

Beside the great experience about understanding the true state of ICT art, energy, finances, telecommunications and consultancy, with the visits to the London headquarters of the best companies (O2 Telefónica, BP, Schneider, Oracle...) many aspects related to personal skills development, communication and CV improvement will be tightened up. Moreover, the human resources multinational company Randstad will spread the CV among its international database.

During this event will be present the ETSE colleagues who have participated in previous editions to tell their personal experience. Your colleague Laura told us:

It has been a complete experience.  During two weeks we have been inside the business and financial heart of London, where every morning we visited a multinational. Its bosses are at your disposal. They explain to you the running of the enterprise, the work each department carries out, how they have got there and what you have to do to achieve this goal. That’s priceless! At the same time we learn and we get an approach to this successful and professional reality of which we have ever dreamt about. Now, it is possible.

During the afternoon, they taught us how to write correctly our CV, our cover letter and they trained us for our interviews... Everything in English, of course!

The atmosphere between us was great since they were open minded people, with international experience and a desire to learn. Immediately, we connected and enjoy the other part of London; tourism, parties, etc.

Without doubt this experience has made a difference in my view of the work world and my future expectations”.
